"I bought an extended policy for my BMW 300 series that insures my run-flats, so paying for them if one or all need replacing is not an issue.
The cost of the aditional coverage is less than the cost of replacing one tire. (I did the math at the time I leased the car) The ties are expensive only if you have to pay for them.
I've even filled them with Nitrogen to improve comfort and longevity!
